What is it?
Delta Buoy is...
A flotation and recovery device for bowfishing, drones, camera gear, fishing rods, sailing equipment, etc. It is intended to float items that unintentionally went in the water and you would like them back.
Who is it intended for?
Delta Buoy is designed for people who use bows, drones, and fishing equipment around water. Accidents happen and sometimes things fall in the water and we need them back.
How does it work?
Delta Buoy utilizes a water-activated hydrostatic actuator that, when submerged, sets the internal mechanism to puncture the CO2 cartridge which fills the orange bladder. The buoyancy of the CO2 bladder, in partnership with the buoyancy of the item being floated, provide the necessary lift to bring to the water surface for retrieval.
Is it reusable?
Yes, the primary body and CO2 bladder are reusable. The CO2 cartridge and Actuator are single-use and will need to be replaced every 12-18 months or after being submerged.
Where can I use it?
Delta Buoy is right at home in warm and cold climates, fresh water or salt water. It can be used all over the world wherever you have items that should not be lost to the bottom of a lake, river, or ocean.
How much can it float?
There is not a hard and fast weight that it can float. Buoyancy of the item being floated plays a huge factor. For example, a 10 pound dumbbell has nearly zero inherent buoyancy. However, a 10 pound section of styrofoam has a high amount of buoyancy.

How can I attach it to a drone?
Each Delta Buoy kit includes heavy-duty zip ties plus a set of velcro straps. Mounting plates will be available soon.
What about a bow?
Each Delta Buoy kit includes heavy-duty zip ties plus a set of velcro straps. Mounting plates will be available soon.
And a fishing rod?
The included zip ties or velcro straps are ideal for any size fishing rod.
What about my expensive camera gear?
Dedicated mounting plates are in the works. Delta Buoy can very easily be attached with the included zip ties or reusable velcro straps.
How do I repack the bladder?
The CO2 bladder can be stuffed back in the pouch. No need to fold it like an origami chicken! Hold the pouch open with both hands and pull the bladder back into it. See our Tutorial page for tips and tricks.
Is Delta Buoy a Personal Flotation Device?
No. It is not. Delta Buoy is not built for, rated for, nor is it intended for humans or animals.

What is the difference between the US Version and the Non-US Version.
The only difference is the inclusion of the CO2 cartridge. At the moment all orders ship from the United States and because CO2 cartridges are a compressed gas they cannot be shipped via air; they must be shipped via Ground services.
What CO2 cartridge do I need for a Non-US Version?
The Delta Buoy Standard uses an 8-gram non-threaded CO2 cartridge. The Delta Buoy Heavy Lifter uses a 12-gram non-threaded CO2 cartridge. These types of CO2 cartridges are common in seltzer water machines, airsoft and paintball. They can typically be found on Amazon, Walmart, or many other online retailers in your area.
